Ptr. Wataru has officially been leading our English language ministries since April 1, 2023 and serves as our regular preacher.

He has been a Pastor of Japan Assemblies of God (AG) since August 23, 2020. Since his high school days, he has been actively involved in youth ministry and developed a deep passion for campus ministry during his university years — a calling he continues to pursue today.

Ptr. Wataru earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from Doshisha University and later completed a Master of Theology degree from the Doshisha Graduate School of Theology.

Since April 2023, he has also served as a part-time lecturer at Doshisha University.

Through God’s calling, he has continued serving in overseas missions and has helped lead many people and children to salvation in Jesus Christ.

He married in May 2021, and together with his wife they continue serving the Lord faithfully.
